This was once lucky photo shot.

Take a closer look.

I was looking out the window, when I noticed this little hummingbird.  I hurried for my camera and hoped this little hummingbird did not fly away. Sure, enough the hummingbird was still in the Mamou tree.  🙂

This hummingbird was busy.

Once this little hummingbird was finish. It flew away.

My Photo: A Visit From November and December

Okay, as I look back on 2016, I realize I have accomplish two of my goals for 2016. I learned an important lesson on non-writer friends. I can listen to their opinion, but I do not need to follow their advice. I am a writer and nothing they says will get me discourage into not writing.(Oops! I got off the subject.)

Anyway, here is my favorite photos from November and December.

I watched as the clouds as they changed color.

My thoughts takes me miles away.

I wish I was in a far off place I writing.

Now, I could not leave my November’s without sharing these photo shots of the Moon. I have to admit my Moon photo shots has improved, since I began taken photo shots of the evening sky.

As I said good-bye to November. December came in with a rush. My Birthday was not what I expected, which meant no self photo.  But I did get these nice photo shots.

I have no idea what 2017 will bring for me, but I am hoping for something nice this year.

Have wonderful weekend 🙂

My Writing: Goals For 2017

My goals and plans for 2017.
• Write a post on a subject I never mention. But needs to be written.
• Take vacation without informing family members until the last-minute.
• Write more poems.
• Finish editing my book.
• Have patience and motivation when editing. (Don’t Delete file by mistake again. I will always check Recycle Bin.)
• Write one post on a tough topic. Later, in the year.
• More photo shots.
• Research my family history, which is a mystery.
• My education In my younger years, I had to put off furthering my education. Now, I want to learn new things.
• Job hunting again. Apparently, not many appreciate honest help. (Maybe, a future post on this subject. Never know with me.)

I think my list for 2017 will be simple or maybe not. But never with me.

Last but not least, a few photo shots I have taken in the past years. (Photo shots not in order.)

As it went down I snapped shots of these nice

My Photo: A Visit From August and September

Now, August brought a lot of rain, a flood to the surrounding area. The Highway in front of my Mom’s home.

After a week of heavy rain, this was Monday morning.

The water slowly went over the road in the early morning hours. That’s all I will say about The August’s flood.  As August slipped away September brought in beautiful sunset

I have to admit I took a few photo shots in August, but September had many photos in my photo album.  I chose these three photo shots  for September 2016.

Have a wonderful weekend.  🙂

Oh yes, I had to admit these photos were nice ones. Now, July had a few surprises. This Killdeer bird sat on her nest for what seemed to be a long time.

The next afternoon I venture towards the nest again for more photo shots. Image my surprise when I saw the Killdeer running towards me. It was not until I realized the other grown Killdeer was also chirping away.  I had to look around for before I spotted this little one.

Okay, I have to admit I was not expecting a photo shot of the  little Killdeer bird, nor a Dragonfly on a branch.

Have a great week.  🙂

My Photo: A Visit from April and May

While April flew on by, I was able to take these nice photos.

I walked slowly towards the milk thistle. Here I noticed this little bee and bug.

Oh yes, Spring was in the air and so was a busy Bumblebee and this caterpillar.

This caterpillar decided to munch on my potato's leaf.

Now, I got a chance to take these rainbow photo shots a week apart in April.

My Photo: If Geese Could Talk

Okay, when I took this photo shot, an idea formed. I wondered, What if I add a few words. My first try on a short comic about these four geese that looked lost.

If geese could talk, this is what they would say.  I might have to redo the fonts for the second sentence, which should read. “Of course, keep going south.”

Okay, I think this photo shot came out okay, as for this short comic I might keep this short comic or put it aside for a while. But never know with me. Sometime a little laughter is needed, for a rough day.

Have a great weekend.  🙂

My Photo: Red Zinger Hibiscus Flowers

Okay, I took these photo shot a few weeks ago. I am happy to say this was the first time, I got a chance to plant this type of flower. No flowers, I have ever planted did this well. This little Zinger Hibiscus did real well.

The angle was perfect but I had to use the flash.

The angle was just right for this photo shot, but I had to use the flash.

I took this photo shot from a top view. I had to stand on the steps to get this view.

My Photo : Many Flowers, But Little Time

I have a four part series of my mini adventure/break from every day life. Here’s some photo shots I took of the many different types of flowers. Unfortunately, I have no idea on names of these beautiful flowers.  Nor, I did I know how many beautiful flowers were there at Rip Van Winkle Gardens.

While we waited for our food, on the wrap around porch, I took my first public photo shot.

As my post title says, So many flowers, but little time. Oh yes, the time flew by fast. But worth it.

My Photo: Mini Break Part 1

Last Wednesday, I was offline for a much needed break from writing and family members. But I did not leave empty handed on my adventure. Oh yes, my digital camera with me. 🙂

Anyway, I like to share these photo shots of this beautiful place  called, Rip Van Winkle Gardens. Jefferson Island, Louisiana.  (Two photo shots is not in order, the landmark signs.)

It's not often I will have someone take a photo shot of me.

It’s not often I will have someone take a photo shot of me.

Imagine my surprise when I walked and came across then this scene. This was not what I expected to find, never know what to expect to find in a new place.

I tried my hardest to get in the right position without going to far back.

I tried my hardest to get in the right position to  without going to far backward. This was huge.

As the title say I have no idea what type of statue this is or which culture. But that does not mean I won't go searching for my answer.

How time went by fast. The whole tour takes an hour and a half. But for me with camera it would have probably took longer.

This photo makes me look determined and focus. But that's only my opinion.

Oh yes, here is a few photo shots of me. My friend was kind enough to take these photos shots, which came out perfect. But that’s only my opinion.  Not too bad for someone who does not like getting their photo taken.

The only photo shots I could not get was the delicious food and the peacocks that roam the garden ground. I had my fork in my hand ready eat when a peacock just that happen to pass by our table while we ate outdoors, viewing the beautiful lake. More photo to come on this beautiful lake with some history.

I could not leave without a photo shot of this landmark sign.

I could not leave without a photo shot of this landmark sign.

I could not leave without taking a photo shot of these landmarks, I tried to get a closer photo shot. But I was on the road with vehicles headed my way.

Okay, I think these photo shots came out good.

Have a great week.  🙂
